Week 8: Prototype Progression

Continuing on building up a prototype. Now I have created a top rail of the model. The prototype I created is different from Olivia's model. As I found it was difficult to place to servo under the moving plate. And It is easier to work with when the servo is at the top instead. I might have to cover up this whole rail later to clean up to look of the prototype.

Top rail. The moving plate which is carrying a servo in which its rotation will control the length of the string. At the two end of the plate are the two motors that will rotate corresponding to pull the plate on the wheels to move left and right. 

The servo is glued on top of the plate attach with the rolling tube with string.

These are the platform for the boxes to sit on.

The boxes are still need to contain a steel plate. This is for the magnet to grab to box and move it along the rail. I have not actually figure out how to do so but it will come afterward. At this stage I will need to get the servo and motor to work properly first.
